Designed specifically for the Vakaros Atlas 2, the RM1 features a compact, mast-hugging profile that stays out of the way while delivering exceptional structural performance. Its slim design allows the mast and boom to lay cleanly on the deck when not racing, eliminating the interference often caused by bulky mounts.
Constructed from carbon fiber–reinforced engineering material, the RM1 Carbon Edition offers superior stiffness, heat resistance, and durability while remaining lightweight and race-ready.
Tested on J/70 masts (both Selden and Southern Spars) and the Melges 24, the mount is built around our patent-pending RadGrip™ system—a rubberized, non-slip Velcro strap that delivers a secure hold without permanent installation. A metal buckle and locking screw ensure the strap stays tight, while the integrated grip surface prevents movement even under aggressive racing loads.
Curved side clearances provide room for Cunningham and jib halyard adjustments, keeping control lines free and unobstructed. An integrated spinnaker halyard groove allows lines to pass smoothly without snagging.
The RM1 Carbon Edition also features an industrial-strength spring clip system, allowing the Vakaros Atlas 2 to mount directly—no stock bracket required. A horizontal locking spring adds an extra layer of security, keeping your instrument firmly in place until you choose to remove it.
