Every Feature Designed for Racing Performance

Radical Mount Features

Every Radical Mount is built with thoughtful design features that keep your instruments secure while staying out of the way of what matters most—sailing fast.

Boom & Mast Laydown Clearance

The slim depth design allows the mast and boom to lay down cleanly on the deck when not racing, eliminating a common problem caused by bulky instrument mounts.

Removable Mounting System

Radical Mounts attach securely to the mast using a heavy-duty Velcro strap system with a stainless steel buckle and locking screw retention. This system keeps the mount firmly secured during racing while allowing the entire unit to be quickly removed without drilling or permanent mast modifications.

Non-Slip Shore 40A Rubber Grip System

Integrated Shore 40A rubber surfaces inside the strap system create friction against the mast, preventing movement under load and keeping the mount and instruments locked firmly in place during racing conditions.

Slim Mast-Hugging Profile

Radical Mounts are designed with a compact, low-profile shape that keeps the mount tight to the mast and out of the way of sheets, halyards, and sail controls.

Tactical Instrument Mounting for Performance Sailing

At Radical Mounts, we design and manufacture removable tactical instrument mounting systems built specifically for modern racing sailboats. Our mounts are engineered to securely hold critical racing electronics such as the Vakaros Atlas 2 and B&G Triton², while staying compact, unobtrusive, and completely removable from the mast.

Racing sailors demand equipment that performs under pressure. Every line, control, and adjustment on the mast must remain accessible and unobstructed while instruments stay secure and easy to read during intense racing conditions. Radical Mounts solves this challenge with purpose-built mounting systems that combine precision engineering, durable materials, and race-focused design.

Engineered for Racing

Unlike permanent mast mounts or bulky bracket systems, Radical Mounts are designed with a slim mast-hugging profile that keeps the hardware out of the way of halyards, sheets, and sail controls. Curved side clearances allow room for Cunningham and jib halyard adjustments, while integrated spinnaker halyard grooves ensure lines pass smoothly without snagging or interference.

Our mounts are also engineered so the mast and boom can lay down cleanly on the deck when not racing, eliminating one of the most common problems with traditional instrument mounts.

Every Radical Mount is designed to be compact, strong, and race-ready, providing the visibility and stability sailors need without compromising rigging access.

Removable Tactical Mounting System

A key advantage of Radical Mounts is our removable mounting system. Instead of permanently drilling into the mast, our mounts secure using a heavy-duty Velcro strap system with stainless steel buckle and locking screw retention.

Integrated non-slip Shore 40A rubber grip surfaces create friction against the mast, preventing movement under load and keeping instruments locked firmly in place while racing.

When racing is over, the mount can be quickly removed without tools or permanent modifications to the mast, making Radical Mounts ideal for racing programs, traveling boats, and sailors who want flexibility without sacrificing performance.

Built for Modern Racing Electronics

Radical Mounts are designed specifically to fit and protect the most popular racing instruments on the market.

Our mounting systems currently support:

  • Vakaros Atlas 2
  • B&G Triton²

Each mount includes precision instrument cutouts, integrated protective guards, and brass threaded inserts to ensure secure installation while eliminating exposed hardware that could snag halyards or sheets.

Select models also include precision NMEA 2000 cable routing cutouts, allowing clean and protected wiring connections for integrated electronics systems.

We are also actively developing mounts for additional racing instruments, expanding the Radical Mounts lineup to support more electronics used on modern race boats.

Professional Materials for Demanding Conditions

Radical Mounts are available in two material options, allowing sailors to choose the right balance of performance and price.

ABS Edition — Cost Effective Performance

Our high-strength ABS construction provides excellent durability, impact resistance, and heat stability for demanding marine environments. The ABS Edition is the more cost-effective option, making it a great choice for seasonal racers, club racing programs, and sailors who want professional-grade mounting without the premium material upgrade.

Carbon Edition — Built for Serious Racers

For sailors demanding maximum strength and stiffness, our Carbon Edition mounts are manufactured from Nylon X carbon fiber reinforced engineering material. This premium material delivers exceptional rigidity, structural strength, and heat resistance, making it ideal for serious racers and high-performance sailing programs.

Purpose-Built for Modern Race Boats

Every Radical Mount is designed with real-world racing in mind:

  • Slim mast-hugging profiles
  • Clearances for halyards and sail controls
  • Non-slip strap systems for secure mounting
  • Removable installation with no mast modification
  • Compact, lightweight construction
  • Weather-resistant marine-grade materials
The result is a mounting system that delivers secure instrument visibility while staying out of the way of what matters most—sailing the boat fast.

Built by Racers

Radical Mounts was created by sailors who understand the demands of competitive racing. Every design is developed with a focus on practical performance, durability, and ease of use on the water.

Our goal is simple:

Create the most functional, removable, and race-ready instrument mounts available for modern sailing.
